Ozarks Pickleball Club is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that advocates for the growth and development of the local pickleball community. We have no official membership or membership fees at this time.
The best ways to get involved include simply showing up to play, volunteering at an event, or playing in OPC tournaments.
How to Get Involved
Open Play
Open Play is a casual, non-competitive way to play pickleball with people of all skill levels. It’s a social setting where players can learn from each other and meet new people. There are several facilities that have designated Open Play times and we keep a list of those times on our Open Play page.
Additionally, there are many public places to play where you can rotate into games if you introduce yourself and ask. The primary public courts are Meador Park in Springfield and the Republic Parks & Rec courts in Republic. For a full list of all the courts in the area, see here or click below.
Tournaments
Tournaments are a great way to get involved in the more competitive side of pickleball, meet new people, and also volunteer! OPC runs several tournaments throughout the year and each have their own feel, fundraising, and style!
Most all tournaments will offer all skill ranges from Novice (2.5) up to Expert (5.0+), as well as several age divisions! For more information, visit our Tournaments page.
Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to get involved, give back to the sport we love, and meet new people! Volunteers plan or help execute social events, help setup courts or with registration or serve as court monitors at tournaments, or even serve on club committees!
